No going back Onion Gravy

Found this in a reciepe book, and will never have any other onion gravy again!!

2 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Butter
8 Onions -Sliced
1 tsp Caster sugar
1 tbsp Plain flour (all purpose)
1/2 pint beef stock

Heat Oil and butter in a large pan

Add Onions and mix well to coat

Cover and cook gently for about 30 mins, stirring frequently

Add sugar and cook for another 5 mins or until soft

Remove pan from the heat and stir in flour

Gradually stir in stock

Return to heat and bring to boil, continue to stir, then simmer for 3 minutes

Season to taste
